"Colors of Spirit," created in 2011 for The Arts for India luncheon at the Guggenheim Museum, celebrates the spirits and souls of disadvantaged children helped out of poverty by this important and unique educational arts organization.
In the series of 30 pieces, the artist meticulously weaves together recycled wood from Indian shipping crates, the purest white marble from Carrara, Italy, and pieces from a simple silken belt acquired from the desert of Thar to unify the atmosphere of the orient with the occidental world.
